Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) CDL jobs are trucking or commercial driving positions where drivers are flown to remote work locations, often in industries like oil, mining, or construction. Drivers typically work set rotations, such as two weeks on followed by a week off, and employers cover travel, accommodation, and sometimes meals. This job structure allows companies to staff distant or hard-to-reach sites while offering drivers extended time at home between shifts.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a fly in fly out CDL driver?

To thrive as a Fly In Fly Out CDL driver, you need a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), a clean driving record, and strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures. Familiarity with GPS systems, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and vehicle maintenance tools is typically required.
