Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 5 physicians and 3 APPs at Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital.
  • Work alongside a fantastic team of emergency and hospital medicine colleagues, providing an excellent variety of pathology.
  • Our physicians are from all over the country, reflecting the unique environment where they willingly fly in monthly.
  • Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine or b oard-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with ATLS.
  • Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Scheduling:

  • Full-time, part-time, or PRN positions available.
  • Our emergency department provides single doctor coverage with an APP from 11 am to 11 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-quality patient care to a rural emergency department with 12 beds in an open ICU setting, seeing 16,650 patients annually.
  • Foster collaboration and support among team members.
  • Emphasize proper, careful, and safe patient treatment as a core focus.
  • Utilize advanced medical technology and handle transfers through the Convenant Transfer Center.
  • Use EPIC as the electronic medical record system.
