This role combines the excitement of modern front-end development with the stability and complexity of enterprise-grade systems.
Working in a true scaled Agile environment, you'll collaborate with autonomous teams using influence-based leadership rather than traditional command-and-control structures. You'll be developing sophisticated web portals using the latest technologies while interfacing with robust backend systems, all while enjoying genuine work-from-home flexibility that sets us apart in the Canadian market.

What's In It For You

  • Remote-first environment designed for productivity and work-life balance

  • Modern front-end stack paired with enterprise-grade systems

  • Directly impact solutions for enterprise clients with lasting partnerships

  • Shape technical direction, mentor others, and advance your career

  • Collaborative culture that values expertise and relational leadership

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document complex functional and technical requirements for enterprise-scale projects

  • Full-Stack Development: Build modern web applications using Angular and JavaScript frameworks, while developing robust backend solutions with C# and .NET Core/Framework

  • Code Architecture & Integration: Review and understand existing codebases to ensure seamless integration and maintenance of current solutions

  • End-to-End SDLC Participation: Actively contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle, from design through deployment

  • Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform rigorous testing and validation to guarantee enterprise-grade quality and performance

  • Cloud Deployment: Deploy applications to various environments using Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), or Octopus Deploy

  • Team Influence & Collaboration: Use relational skills to positively influence cross-functional teams and contribute to technical decision-making

What You Bring
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience

  • Fluency in English and French (written and oral)

  • Strong experience with C#, Microsoft .NET Core, or .NET Framework using Visual Studio

  • Proven web application development skills with Angular (including AngularJS) or similar frameworks (React, Vue)

  • Experience with deployment tools: Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), or Octopus Deploy

  • Solid foundation in REST API development, HTML, and CSS

Assets:

  • Pipeline setup experience with Helm and YAML/YML

  • Database development knowledge (SQL and NoSQL/MongoDB)

  • Web service development experience (WebAPI, WCF)

  • ASP.NET development background

  • Unit testing framework experience (Cypress, Protractor)

  • Agile development environment experience

  • Enterprise software architecture knowledge

Soft Skills:

  • Strong relational and communication skills with ability to influence through collaboration

  • High emotional intelligence and empathy

  • Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously in team environments

Intermediate knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its provincial scope.

A bit about us

We're a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good. We improve lives through our technology solutions and foster a culture of innovation that empowers team members to solve complex problems and create remarkable human outcomes in a digital world.

TELUS is proud to foster an inclusive culture that embraces diversity. We are committed to fair employment practices and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment. We offer accommodation for applicants with disabilities, as required, during the recruitment process.

Disclaimer: In accordance with the TELUS Health Solutions Data Center Security Policy, as a condition of employment, all team members whose job functions require they work at a Data Center and/or have access to detailed knowledge of technology related to client service delivery, are subject to a Personnel Security Screening conducted through the Government of Canada.

Note for Quebec candidates: if knowledge of English is required for this position, it is because the team member will be asked, on a regular basis, to interact in English with external or internal parties or to use English applications or software as part of their tasks.

By applying to this role, you understand and agree that your information will be shared with the TELUS Group of Companies' Talent Acquisition team(s) and/or any leader(s) who will be part of the selection process.
