About the role
You will be joining a newly formed web development team dedicated to building our web application framework from scratch. Leveraging your expertise in React, Next.js or comparable frameworks, and Tailwind CSS or similar styling solutions, you will design and implement scalable, high-performance web solutions. As a leader, you will play a crucial role in making key technical decisions and will help establish best practices and set the foundation for a robust and efficient development workflow.
Responsibilities
  • Architect and Develop: Design and build the foundational web application framework using React, Next.js or similar frameworks, and Tailwind CSS or equivalent.
  • Technical Leadership: Make critical decisions regarding package management, bundling strategies, application architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Code Quality: Ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, and performance through best practices and code reviews.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our CEO (who is also our designer!), key stakeholders, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Scalability: Build systems that are scalable, efficient, and robust to support rapid growth and evolving product needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process and product offerings.
  • Mentorship: As the team grows, mentor and guide new frontend developers to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
  • Proven experience with React, Next.js or similar frameworks, and Tailwind CSS or equivalent styling tools.
  • Experience building web applications from scratch in a startup or high-growth environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand).
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Familiarity with package management and module bundlers (e.g., npm, Yarn, Webpack, Vite).

Nice to Haves
  • Experience with Flutter and Dart.
