Job description

Our client, a Flushing based Labor Union Fund Office is looking for a bookkeeper/administrative assistant. Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, labor/union experience a plus, and be extremely detail oriented. Sage experience is a MUST!  

Position is fully on-site, remote options are not available.  

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Record daily deposits and entering daily invoices
  • Balance and maintain general ledgers and trial balances
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
  • Updating medical, prescription, dental eligibility and COB
  • Oversee and maintain office supplies
  • Assist Stamp Dept
  • Run redemption
  • Answer participant inquiries related to benefits

Skills:

  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Experience with Sage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Outlook
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects
 

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $33/h-$35.75/h. Rate commensurate with experience.
