Job Summary and Qualifications

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Manages one or more clinical and administrative functions related to the operations and quality of the clinic or practice. Serves in a leadership role within the practice. Typically functions within a Level 4 (net revenue of $7M-$14M) or Level 5 Practice (net revenue exceeding $14M).

SUPERVISOR: DAVP or DPS (per Division structure) DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

โ€ข May have direct patient care duties.

โ€ข Helps establish/implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for the assigned clinical areas.

โ€ข Participates in the development and implementation of clinical plans.

โ€ข Selects, trains/orients, and supervises departmental personnel. Responsible for work assignment and daily operations.

โ€ข Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

โ€ข Resolves problems in clinical areas and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.

โ€ข Helps fiscal management and other administrative staff to develop/implement cost effective policies and procedures for all clinical areas, as well as billing, insurance, fee schedules, credit/collections, purchasing, and space planning.

โ€ข Monitors and controls clinical expenditures to remain within budget.

โ€ข Serves as liaison between clinic and external agencies.

โ€ข Works with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.

โ€ข Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices.

โ€ข Maintains strictest confidentiality.

โ€ข Performs related work as required.

โ€ข Practice and adhere to the โ€œCode of Conductโ€ philosophy and โ€œMission and Value Statementโ€.

EDUCATION:

โ€ข Graduate from an accredited school or program in nursing is required.

EXPERIENCE:

โ€ข Minimum of two year of experience in a medical office, acute care or clinical outpatient setting is required. A minimum of one-year previous supervisory experience in a medical office, acute care or outpatient setting is required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

โ€ข RN license and CPR Certification - required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

โ€ข Knowledge of health care administration practices.

โ€ข Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
