Job description

The Sonnenalp Hotel is seeking a Full-Time Year Round Bellstaff Team Member to join our Guest Services team. If you're passionate about creating memorable first impressions and delivering exceptional hospitality, we'd love to welcome you to our team.
Wage: $12.14/hour, plus tips

Primary Purpose of Position
A Bellman is to extend the highest level of personalized service to all guests and patrons.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greets guests as they arrive and introduces them to the Front Desk agent to facilitate check-in procedures.
  • Assists guests with any questions they may have and directs them to their desired destination. Accompanying the guest rather than merely pointing their destination is preferred.
  • Serves guests in every possible way, exhibiting a friendly and positive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
  • Controls traffic at the front of the hotel and parking garage.
  • Assists guests with luggage to and from rooms.
  • Assists in advising guests of all In-house venues and activities.
  • Responsible for guest long term storage needs.
  • Delivers and picks up guests misc. needs or items.
  • While assisting in the guests check-in to room, orients them to the room's and the hotel's amenities.
  • Performs frequent cleaning/maintenance on bell carts.
  • Maintains accurate key control including sign-in and out of all keys and radios.
  • On occasion, will be required to transport guests to and from local locations.
  • Maintenance and cleaning of hotel vehicles. Responsible for keeping vehicles fueled.
  • Assists Business Center in storing of items received or shipped as needed.
  • Assists Activities Center in transportation of guests to golf course, biking tours etc.
  • Assists Concierge with various duties as required i.e bike rentals, flower deliveries, messaging etc.
  • Performs additional duties as defined by Front Office or other departments.

Education/Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year Customer Service experience.
  • Able to operate all makes of automobiles. Valid driver's license with no previous violations.
  • Strong organizational skills

Recommended Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year Customer Service experience.
  • Good physical condition, able to carry heavy loads.
  • Excellent communications skills, attention to detail, ability to �think on your feet�, and must be well organized as well as personable & polite.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Essential Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for a full length shift, up to 12 hours
  • Able to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting
  • Able to handle objects weighing 50-65 lbs routinely
