Location: Mennel Milling Company – Mt. Olive
Schedule: Full-Time | Pitman Schedule (12-hour shifts)
Shift Rotation: Team members rotate between day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) every eight weeks.

What You'll Do

As a Shift Miller, you will operate and maintain the flour mill under the direction of the Head Miller while helping ensure safe, efficient production and exceptional product quality. You'll play a critical role in supporting daily milling operations and maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and managing flour mill and cleaning house activities during assigned shifts
  • Running milling equipment at optimal performance levels to maximize yields and product quality
  • Maintaining wheat and flour inventories to required specifications
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, FSMA, sanitation requirements, and food safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready work environment
  • Completing production reports and following all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Participating in required training and development programs
  • Serving as backup for the Head Miller and/or Mill Operator when needed
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and equipment performance
  • Performing other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in flour milling, food production, or manufacturing preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test and perform job duties while wearing a respirator
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of material flow and manufacturing processes
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
  • Mechanical aptitude and commitment to continuous learning
