Job description

The Director Retail Centers is accountable for providing leadership and effective management to Business Operations through Retail Center Managers within an assigned region at a time when Florida Blue's Retail Centers will have a primary role in helping consumers and members navigate a new healthcare landscape. This will entail planning and forecasting, strategic thinking, brand management, community engagement, management plan execution, and monitoring of all aspects of operations including supporting, coaching, and advancing the professional development of Florida Blue's Retail Center Managers. The successful candidate must reside in the assigned region and be able to maintain a regular presence in the region to effectively lead and manage the Retail Center Managers.

Key Responsibilities: 
    Execute strategic plans and develop strategic responses to member, competitor, and market changes through; broad retail knowledge, anticipating industry trends and customer needs, and building market leading alternative solutions. 
    Drive brand relevance across the communities Florida Blue serves through; intimate member knowledge, consumer understanding, the consistent delivery of value-add products and services, and by recognition as a "trusted advisor" in all service experiences.
    Provide leadership, support, coaching, operational guidance, and direction for Retail Center Managers so as to drive business objectives and the achievement of planned outcomes. 
    Continuously identify, plan, and execute areas of improvement to ensure retail center processes are: consumer centric, meeting the needs and exceeding the expectations of our members, delivering on Florida Blue's Brand Promise, continuously up to date, operating efficiently, and providing superior service. 
    Partner with Center Leaders and corporate leadership to continuously communicate the company's retail vision and performance expectations. 
    Lead and manage in a manner that advances, and is aligned with, Florida Blue's Mission, Vision, and Corporate Values; ensure Retail Center Teams are accountable for maintaining a consumer and member centric culture.
    Collaboratively drive consumer engagement, member loyalty, and business growth at a time when the retail centers will evolve into a significant service, education, and sales channel for Florida Blue. 
    Serve as a Florida Blue "Brand Ambassador" at all time within the communities we serve; continuously develop insights into the needs and perspectives of consumers and collaboratively drive these insights throughout Florida Blue for the benefit of the business. 
    Provide innovation and forward-thinking, in collaboration with retail organizational leadership, to help drive the design, development and implementation for "next-phase" of Florida Blue's retail strategy. 
    Continuously advance Florida Blue as a great place to work - while ensuring employee engagement, employee satisfaction and the development of "bench strength". 
    Ensure operational processes and practices are effectively managed so that Retail Center operations, programs, and standard operating procedures are consistently aligned with Florida Blue's business goals and objectives.
    Ensure, in collaboration with Human Resources, the development and proactive implementation of consistent sourcing, staffing, and training programs and processes for retail center managers and teams.

Key Requirements: 
    7+ years' related work experience in financial services, insurance, or health insurance
    5+ years' direct supervisory/management experience 
    Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience 
    State of Florida 2-40 license or ability to obtain within 90 Days 
    Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment. 
    Demonstrated experience as an engaging, hands-on business leader who possesses strong business acumen and a professional track record for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. 
    Demonstrated cultural competence (awareness, attitude, knowledge, willingness, and skills to work effectively with a culturally and demographically diverse population). 
    High skillful at establishing and sustaining strong interpersonal relationships within, and beyond, your team and the GuideWell Enterprise. 
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
    Ability and willingness to travel.
    Bilingual - English/ Spanish

Preferred:
    Master's degree 
    Health insurance related experience

Annualized Salary Range: $126,000 - $204,800
Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $126,000 - $157,500
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
