Job description

Floral Production & Operations Manager

Premium Faux Floral / Home Décor

Darby Creek Trading | Full-Time | On-Site

About Darby Creek Trading

Darby Creek Trading is a growing e-commerce company specializing in premium faux florals, seasonal décor, wreaths, and home accents. We design and produce beautiful, high-quality products that help customers transform their homes with timeless floral arrangements and seasonal collections.

We are seeking an experienced Floral Production & Operations Manager to lead our floral production team, improve processes, and help us continue delivering exceptional products to customers across the country.

Position Overview

The Floral Production & Operations Manager will oversee the creation, assembly, quality control, and daily operations of our floral production team. This role is ideal for an experienced floral professional with a background in professional floral design, premium faux floral production, event floral design, or managing a floral/event company.

The successful candidate will combine creativity with operational leadership — bringing a strong understanding of floral design principles while building efficient production systems, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

The Floral Production & Operations Manager will report directly to the Chief Creative Officer and will work closely with the Owner. This role will be responsible for translating creative concepts into scalable production processes while maintaining Darby Creek Trading’s standards for quality, craftsmanship, and design.

This role requires someone who understands the difference between creating one-of-a-kind floral designs and producing consistent, high-quality collections at scale. Experience managing seasonal product launches, production timelines, inventory-driven workflows, and e-commerce or retail production environments is highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily floral production operations, ensuring products are created efficiently, consistently, and according to Darby Creek Trading quality standards
  • Manage, train, and develop floral production team members
  • Establish and maintain production processes, design standards, and quality-control guidelines
  • Review completed arrangements for craftsmanship, proportion, color balance, and overall design quality
  • Partner with the Chief Creative Officer on new product concepts, seasonal collections, and creative direction
  • Translate creative concepts into repeatable production processes
  • Support seasonal product launches and ensure production readiness for peak selling periods
  • Plan production priorities around sales demand, inventory levels, and customer expectations
  • Improve efficiency, organization, workflow, and scalability of floral production operations
  • Identify production challenges and implement practical solutions
  • Maintain awareness of floral components, supplies, and inventory needs
  • Create a positive, organized, and collaborative production environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional floral design, floral production, event floral management, or related experience
  • Experience creating or managing premium faux floral arrangements, artificial botanical designs, or large-scale floral production is highly preferred
  • Experience managing a floral studio, event company, creative production team, or similar operation
  • Experience supporting seasonal product launches, high-volume production schedules, or e-commerce product workflows
  • Strong understanding of floral design principles including color, texture, scale, composition, and seasonal trends
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance creative vision with operational execution
  • Comfortable working in a growing company where processes and systems continue to evolve

Ideal Candidate

You may be a great fit if you are:

  • A florist who has managed a successful floral shop, studio, or event floral business
  • An event company manager experienced with large-scale floral installations, production schedules, and deadlines
  • A creative operations leader who enjoys turning ideas into repeatable, scalable products
  • Experienced with premium faux florals and artificial botanical design, including creating realistic, high-end arrangements
  • Familiar with e-commerce or retail environments where products must be consistently produced, packaged, and delivered at scale
  • Experienced with seasonal collections and managing production around peak selling periods
  • Someone who takes pride in creating beautiful products customers love while building a strong production team

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Full-time position
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding e-commerce brand
