Job Title: Hardwood Flooring Installer
Job Description: We are looking for skilled Hardwood Flooring Installers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of hardwood floors with precision and attention to detail, including solid hardwood & performance engineered hardwood. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure their flooring needs are met with high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Installation of Hardwood Flooring: Accurately install various types of hardwood flooring according to project specifications and design plans.
  2. Preparation of Installation Site: Prepare and clean the installation area, ensuring the subfloor is level and ready for installation.
  3. Measuring and Cutting: Measure, cut, and shape hardwood planks as needed to fit the designated space, paying attention to detail and ensuring minimal wastage.
  4. Finishing and Sealing: Apply finishes and sealants (where required) to the hardwood flooring for protection and longevity.
  5. Client Consultation: Communicate effectively with the executive team to understand customer requirements and provide recommendations on flooring options.
  6. Quality Assurance: Conduct final inspections of the installed flooring to ensure quality standards are met and address any client concerns.
  7. Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of equipment and protective gear.

Insurance Requirements:
  • Installers will be required to possess errors and omissions insurance no less than $2 million dollars.
  • Installers will maintain insurance coverage that extends to its employees or any third parties in compliance with standard industry practice of no less than $500,000 bodily injury and $1,000,000 property damage.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Hardwood Flooring Installer or in a similar role, preferably in City of Chicago buildings, high rises, homes, and businesses.
  • Knowledge of different types of hardwood flooring and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in carpentry or flooring installation is a plus.
