Facility: Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Position: Floor Tech
Location: Boynton Beach, Florida
Shift: Full-Time 630 am-3pm / 3pm -10pm
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18 per hour

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a dependable and motivated Floor Tech to join our Environmental Services team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. If you take pride in your work and have a strong attention to detail, we’d love to have you on our team!

Key Responsibilities
  • Respect and uphold residents’ rights and privacy at all times.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all protected health information.

  • Promptly report any complaints, incidents, or allegations of abuse, neglect, or property misappropriation.

  • Follow all established safety and infection control policies.

  • Demonstrate proper use of safety equipment and participate in fire and disaster drills.

  • Wash, wax, seal, and buff facility floors according to schedule.

  • Maintain and properly store all floor care equipment.

  • Clean windows, sweep outdoor areas, and remove debris to maintain facility appearance.

  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs, cleaning vents, and washing garbage cans.

  • Assist with cleaning and lubricating resident care equipment such as wheelchairs and shower chairs.

  • Use cleaning supplies efficiently and ensure all areas are left neat and orderly.

  • Attend required in-service trainings, staff meetings, and quality assurance programs.

  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to promote a positive and safe work environment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma preferred

  • Nursing home or healthcare facility experience required

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and frequently carry up to 25 lbs.

  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, and crouch as part of regular duties

  • Experience operating floor care equipment, including:

    • Automated floor scrubber

    • Side-by-side floor machine

    • Carpet extractor machine

    • Mop and bucket system

  • Knowledge of proper use of hand tools related to floor care

  • Ability to safely operate, clean, and maintain floor care equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment
