United Skates of America of Rhode Island a roller-skating facility located at 75 New Road, Rumford, RI 02916 is hiring Part-Time Floor Guards.
Responsibilities of a Floor-Guard include:
  • Provide a Clean, Fun, Friendly, and Safe experience to every guest.
  • Know the rules of the facility and be able to enforce them diplomatically.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the skate floor and skate counter before and after sessions.
  • Supervising customers for safety protecting all skaters from injury (preventing accidents).
  • Communicate with the session manager, other associates, and DJ concerning any problems or safety issues during a session.
  • Handle incident procedures and be alert to the (cause of surrounding incidents so you can document them later)
  • Verify that all skating adults have signed Adult Waiver Cards (referred to as Skater Agreement Cards in RI), and for Skater ID cards, be sure to check for expiration dates.
  • Complete all assigned clean-up procedures and assist in other areas as needed or requested.

***Must know how to skate
Willing to train!
Bilingual in English/Spanish a PLUS.
All Associate positions offer flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, and some holidays.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
