Job description

Garage Force is seeking dedicated full-time Floor Coating Installers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying coatings to floors and various surfaces, predominantly garage floors, as well as patios, porches, and basements. Candidates with experience in painting or construction are highly valued. We provide a supportive environment with a competitive salary and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by scouring floors, repairing damage, and removing old paint
  • Operate general construction equipment including large grinders, hand grinders, shop vacuums, and floor polishers
  • Mix, match, and apply coating systems and finishes to floor surfaces
  • Apply decorative and faux finishes as required by the project
  • Plan and perform prep work efficiently
  • Calculate material quantities and project timelines
  • Tape off areas as needed to protect surfaces
  • Detailed tracking and accounting of all product, equipment, and supplies
  • Oversee and ensure proper maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by cleaning supplies and equipment during application
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction

Required Qualifications

  • Dependable and punctual
  • Background in painting or construction preferred
  • Ability to pass drug screening and criminal/motor vehicle background checks
  • Valid driver’s license and 2+ years of Pickup Truck with Trailer experience.
  • Willingness to travel locally (no overnight travel)
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions
  • Capable of performing physical labor for 8-12 hours daily and lifting 50 pounds or more
  • Experience operating construction equipment such as shop vacuums, generators, handheld and large floor grinders, and painting tools is ideal

Floor Coating Installer is a fast-paced role that includes three days of paid training at Garage Force Headquarters. Salaries are competitive and based on experience, with opportunities for quick advancement to Lead Installer position, which include increased pay and responsibilities.
