Job Overview

Job Title: Floor Associate
REPORTS TO: SHIFT LEAD/OWNERS/GENARAL MANAGER/ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
Objective: The objective of this position is to plan, organize, execute and control all activities related to the successful operation of the check-in/check-out counter, lobby, and merchandise area. Floor Associates also plan, organize, execute and control all activities related to the successful operation of the stationed zone (main floor play area, play zones, and parent lounge).
Floor Associates are positioned in various areas throughout the play facility and deal directly with our guests. They are strategically placed in certain areas of the facility in order to monitor for safety and capacity of the various play zones, assist customers, and keep the shelves, displays, and all floor areas presentable. This job is part-time and offers flexible schedules.
Safe, Clean, and Fun Environment for Guests
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Oversee the zone to which one is stationed (Big Kid Zone/Kid Zone/Mini Zone/Lobby)
● Monitor and control for safety, control traffic flow, ensure proper age and weight limits per zone, enforce proper use of the play equipment, and assist parents and children as needed
● Document and report any incidents in accordance with HyperKidz in accordance with Hyper Kidz policy and as requested by management
● Enthusiastically greet all guests upon their entrance into the facility in a positive and professional manner to
● create an enjoyable play experience and to encourage repeat visits
● Navigate guests through the check-in procedure (sign waivers, shoe cubbies, lockers, hand stamps, walk-in admission, party check-ins) using courtesy and professionalism
● Answer questions from guests seeking to make reservations or inquire about services and offerings.
● Manually complete reservations as needed using the point-of-sale software
● Ensure guests’ needs are anticipated and satisfied in a proactive manner
● Complete cash register transactions and point-of-sale purchases and refunds
● Confirm waivers and collect guest admission payments
● Stamp hands of all guests upon check-in and ensure that children leave with their respective families upon check-out
● Assist with guest traffic flow in the front lobby area to quickly and efficiently admit guests and shorten wait time
● Assist guests who have questions, concerns, or special needs
● Provide a wide range of guest services
● Keep professional records in the event of guest service deficiencies, complaints, or accidents
● Ensure that staff levels within the check-in/check-out and merchandise areas reflect the requirements of the guest capacity
● Participate in training to effectively perform all job responsibilities in Guest Services, Operations, First Aid, and Emergency Procedures
● Market and promote products and packages
● Assist in the development of promotional activities
● Assist in establishing a strong store identity with the community and marketplace in which Hyper Kidz operates
● Monitor all equipment in the check-in/check-out and merchandise areas and to notify management and maintenance of any deficiencies
● Maintain the check-in/check-out and merchandise areas in safe operating condition at all times
● Monitor the facility’s conformity to local fire and safety regulations
● Monitor the number of guests in the facility, and notify the management of any infractions of Occupancy loads
and local fire and safety regulations
● Document all financial reports as required by the store management
● Must be able to work nights and weekends.
