Job description

The Area Sales & Marketing Director is a floating, multi-site leadership role supporting Regional Sales across Parallel Management Group's portfolio of senior living and home care communities. Acting as a Sales Director-at-large, this role travels between locations to provide hands-on sales and marketing leadership โ€” covering communities with a vacant or newly filled Sales Director position, stabilizing underperforming markets, and coaching site-level teams. The ideal candidate is a proven senior living sales leader who can walk into an unfamiliar market, quickly build referral relationships, and drive census, occupancy, and revenue growth with minimal ramp-up time.

Responsibilities:

    • Serve as interim, floating Sales Director for communities with a leadership vacancy, onboarding gap, or performance shortfall, running day-to-day sales operations until a permanent hire is onboarded and ramped.
    • Partner with Regional Sales leadership to identify underperforming communities and deploy targeted, on-site sales and marketing support.
    • Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, senior centers, physician offices, home health agencies, DME providers, discharge planners, and social services.
    • Meet with prospective residents and family members and guide them through the move-in and admissions process.
    • Review intakes and follow up promptly and consistently with all referral sources; maintain detailed records of all contacts.
    • Train, coach, and mentor site-level sales and marketing staff on referral development, CRM use, and sales best practices.
    • Standardize sales processes, KPIs, and reporting across communities to support consistent performance measurement.
    • Analyze occupancy, census, and referral funnel data by community to identify trends and recommend action plans.
    • Plan and coordinate public affairs and community outreach, including public relations, health fairs, and other events.
    • Develop and maintain marketing and communication materials in partnership with the corporate marketing team.
    • Maintain strong working knowledge of social media and digital marketing tools to support lead generation at each community.
    • Anticipate positive and negative market shifts and competitive pressures, adapting strategy accordingly.
    • Develop deep local market knowledge โ€” demographics, competitors, and referral landscape โ€” for each community supported.

Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of senior living, home health, or healthcare sales and marketing experience, including building and managing referral relationships. (Required)
    • 2+ years in a sales leadership or management role, ideally overseeing multiple locations or a sales team. (Required)
    • Proven track record of driving census/occupancy growth and meeting sales targets. (Required)
    • Ability and willingness to travel extensively between locations, including overnight and extended-stay assignments. (Required)
    • Valid driver's license and a dependable, insured vehicle. (Required)
    • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and CRM or referral-tracking systems.
    • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable operating independently across multiple markets.
    • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

License or certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Benefits:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
