Service Management Systems is Hiring for a Custodial Floater for Greater Clark County Schools
***Starting at $19.00 per hour***
Custodial Floaters will assist with traveling to schools needed based on call offs, missing personnel, assist with training, etc.
Summary: Keeps premises of commercial and institutional buildings in clean and orderly
condition by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as training and filling in training forms
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Lifting chairs and place them over tables (approx. chair weight: 20-25 lbs.)
  • Moving chemicals (5 gal buckets -- approx. weight 40+ lbs.)
  • Moving tables (approx. weight 40+ lbs.)
  • Operates different types of equipment (i.e. burnishers, scrubbers, pressure washer)
  • Uses ManLift or ScissorLift Machine as needed
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Prior experience in janitorial housekeeping preferred
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills desired but not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision of shift responsibility, handling employee issues
