Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Floater/Assistant Teacher to join our team! As the Floater/Assistant Teacher, you will be responsible for selecting age-appropriate programs, activities, and curricula for the children in our care. You will also support the current staff, manage scheduling and office supplies, bring positive communication to the team, and implement new strategies to grow and expand our outreach. 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Adhere to ODJFS Child Care licensing rules
  • Develop lesson plans
  • Interact with children to support effective learning and socialization
  • Consistent Communication with parents
  • Participation in staff and training meetings
  • Maintain clean and tidy classroom environment
  • Assist to design an appropriate classroom arrangement in support of learning and developmental goals
  • Commitment to continuing education
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • At least 1 year experience working in a licensed childcare facility
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding child care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of caring and nurturing children in a licensed educational environment
