Medical Assistant - Float Pool

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Medical Assistant to join our Float Pool. We have full-time opportunities for our day shift opening located in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

*Sign-On Bonus - $2,000*

Minimum $38,948 - Midpoint $47,818*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Medical Assistant:

  1. High school diploma or GED and
  2. Medical Assistant Program Graduate Certificate and
  3. If applicable; current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  4. BLS certification

About UNMMG Medical Assistant Float Pool:

The Medical Assistant Float Pool position for Medical Group, Inc. Clinics will serve in both an administrative front desk role, as well as a Medical Assistant for clinical back office duties, to include assisting with procedures, triaging, and quality initiative projects. The float pool MA will be staffing in at all of our Medical Group, Inc. Clinics including:

  2. Center for Life
  3. Center for Reproductive Health
  4. Truman Health Services
  5. Grande Family Practice Clinic
  6. Behavioral Health
