Job description
Role Summary
The Aircraft Structures & Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, repair, modification, and fabrication of aircraft structural components in accordance with FAA regulations, Part 121 regulations, company procedures, and approved technical data. This role supports Part 121 airline operations by ensuring aircraft structural integrity, airworthiness, and on-time performance.
Compensation Starting at $34.00 p/hr + DOE
Schedule Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required by operational needs.

Key Duties
- Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft and components, including fuselage, wings, empennage, flight controls, and nacelles.
- Interpret and comply with approved technical data, including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Engineering Orders (EO), FAA Regulations, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Fabricate sheet metal parts using approved materials, tools, and techniques (forming, bending, riveting, drilling, and bonding)
- Remove and install aircraft structural components and assemblies.
- Perform repairs using conventional and advanced materials, including aluminum alloys and composites (as applicable).
- Accurately document maintenance actions in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance Control, and other Maintenance personnel as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Support aircraft on-wing and off-wing maintenance, line maintenance, heavy maintenance, and AOG recovery as needed. Travel may be required for maintenance recovery or special projects.
- Maintain company-required qualifications and recurrent training.

Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required.
- Must be able to pass a Drug Test and Airport Background Check.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required by operational needs.
- Minimum 2 years of aircraft structural/sheet metal experience in a Part 121 or comparable commercial aviation environment
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, Part 121 maintenance requirements, and airworthiness standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and repair specifications.
- Experience with structural repairs, corrosion control, and damage assessment
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
- Proficient in computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
