Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprentice (AMT)

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprentice FULL-TIME Opportunity in Anchorage, AK

  • Starting Wage: $18.00-$22.00
  • M-F schedule or 4/10 option

We're hiring anย Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprentice to assist the AMTs withย responsibility for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Guardian Flight.ย This is a key role toย ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

ย Responsibilities

  • Apprentice will assist licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) while they are performing maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, and repairs.
  • Assist with inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment
  • Assist with document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards.
  • Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or willing to obtain within 36 months
  • Valid State issued Driver's licenseย 
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
  • EMS Systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
  • Ability to work aย flexible scheduleย including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
  • Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Turboprop and/or turbine powered fixed-wing experienceย 
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
  • Related experience under 14 CFR Part 135
  • Autopilot maintenance experience
  • Avionics and electrical repair experienceย
