Job Summary:
By Light Professional IT Services, through its subsidiary Veraxx Engineering Corporation, specializes in engineering services including modeling, simulation, and training solutions. The Senior Software Simulation Engineer will work on flight simulators, developing and integrating software primarily in Linux and Windows environments, while collaborating with lead engineers throughout all phases of project development.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Support S/W development activities as tasked by S/W lead.
โ€ข Design S/W architectures for components within a system such as S/W interfaces or models of aircraft components.
โ€ข Prepare S/W documentation and input for design reviews.
โ€ข Interface with customers including presentations of software designs at customer reviews.
โ€ข Ability to work in teams and provide guidance to junior engineers
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข BS Engineering or Computer Science and 5+ years SWE experience
โ€ข Ability to develop in multiple languages including: C, C++, FORTRAN, or Ada
โ€ข Proficient in Visual Studio IDE, GCC compilers / Makefiles
โ€ข Proficient in Windows, UNIX/Linux
โ€ข Software Engineering Concepts & Processes
โ€ข Must have or be able to obtain a Secret DOD clearance.
Preferred:
โ€ข Knowledge of object-oriented design concepts
โ€ข Knowledge of flight simulation
โ€ข Knowledge of real time programming
