Both Flight Paramedic Part Time and Flight Nurse Part Time roles involve working in air ambulance settings, providing emergency care during transport. The main difference lies in their foundational certifications: paramedics versus nurses. Paramedics focus on advanced emergency procedures, while nurses bring a broader patient care background. Both roles require similar work environments and are employed by air ambulance services and hospitals, making them comparable options for emergency medical professionals seeking part-time flight roles.

The paramedic has the authority to determine medical and therapy based on the assessment of the patient in keeping with established protocols; safety decisions involving patient and aircraft/ambulance; whether or not additional equipment should be taken; in triage, who to transport and setting of priorities; and the care, inventory, and ordering of standard medical supplies.
