Job description

Salary Range: $70,310 - $95,400
Perform support to the F/A-18 Low-Cost Trainer Simulator at NAWCWD China Lake.
Essential Job Functions
Operate F/A-18 E/F & E/A-18 G Low-Cost Trainer (LCT).
Calibrate LCT hardware and software.
Maintain and update LCT software and all hardware.
Perform regular preventative maintenance and inspections on LCT hardware and software.
Troubleshoot LCT software and hardware.
Support Developmental Test and Operational Test events.
Write reports detailing test objectives, test activities, outcomes, etc.
Operate Next Generation Threat System.
Coordinate trainer usage and mission requirements with VX-31, VX-9, and flight test engineers, and Weapons TPOs.
Provide Airborne Intercept Controller support for LITL and LCT training missions.
Coordinate and Maintain the LCT flight schedule.
Operate F/A-18 E/F & E/A-18 G Tactical Operational Flight Trainer (TOFT).
Operate the Link-16 Inject-to-Live (LITL) ground station.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
High school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience, associate's degree with 4 years of experience, bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience, or a master's degree with 1 years' experience.
Must be able to be granted a Top Secret security clearance and maintain one for the duration of employment.
Must have aircraft simulator experience.
Excellent communication skills and able to liaison with outside agencies and ability to work independently.
Possess professionalism, courtesy, high moral character, and integrity.
Possess a CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Desired Skills:
Four years of experience as an AIC or aviation simulator operator preferred.
Experience with Linux and Windows operating Systems preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
