ABOUT THE JOB
As a Supplier Quality Inspector, you will support our Manufacturing and Production teams by learning, executing, and optimizing detailed inspection processes to deliver world-class products on time. This role heavily focuses on ensuring the excellence of parts received from our supplier network. You will own the inspection process, lead documentation reviews, and actively participate in supplier quality improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)
  • Supplier Site Inspections: Travel up to 75% of the time to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies directly at supplier facilities.
  • Precision Metrology: Select and utilize standard gauges, manual metrology tools, and advanced equipment to inspect complex feature tolerances with required accuracy.
  • Incoming Inspection: Perform complex inspections on purchased mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and raw materials.
  • Documentation & Certifications: Review and verify material certifications, specifications, and conformance to engineering designs and purchase order requirements.
  • Flight Hardware Verification: Inspect flight hardware at supplier sites according to engineering drawings, industry standards, and Anduril specifications.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Document and report non-conformances at the supplier source, ensuring all hardware meets Anduril and industry quality standards.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Support the development of supplier inspection plans, verify corrective actions (CAPA), and drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Program & Set Up: Program and set up Articulating Arms (e.g., Romer) and CMMs to achieve desired inspection results.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide guidance to both internal and external stakeholders on Anduril inspection requirements and standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 3+ years of precision mechanical inspection experience.
  • 3+ years of CMM programming, CMM operations, or Faro Arm experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% to supplier sites.
  • U.S. Person Status is required as this position needs to access controlled data

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Aerospace & Defense: Precision inspection experience in aerospace, aviation, or avionics manufacturing.
  • Metrology & Hardware:
    • CMM Programming with PC-DMIS software.
    • Romer Arm experience with Verisurf software.
    • Familiarity with electronics inspection, printed circuit boards (PCBs), soldering, crimping, and polymeric applications.
    • Basic understanding of propulsion valve operations.
  • Quality Standards & Certifications:
    • Practical experience working within AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS9102 (First Article Inspection) frameworks.
    • Wire harness experience in accordance with NASA-STD-8739.4 and/or IPC-A-620 standards.
    • Knowledge of IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expert ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, design blueprints, and CAD models using ASME Y14.5.
    • Strong GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge.
    • Familiarity with modern manufacturing software systems (Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, CAD).
  • Professional Attributes:
    • Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong verbal/written communication and root-cause/failure analysis skills.
  • Able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

US Hourly Range
$31-$40 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
