Purpose of Position
The Training Logistics Specialist supports the planning, coordination, and execution of training logistics across initial, recurrent, upgrade and Special Tracking programs. This role partners closely with Training leadership, Ground Instructors, and cross-functional teams to ensure training resources, schedules, facilities, and technology are aligned and ready to support high-quality, compliant training delivery. They will contribute to accurate forecasting, efficient scheduling, and day-to-day operational readiness by coordinating data, logistics, and communications across Flight Operations, Standards, Maintenance, Operations, Safety, Crew Scheduling, Learning & Development, Flight Attendants, and Courseware teams.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Training Capacity, Scheduling & Operations
โ€ข Support training demand forecasting and capacity planning across all programs, ensuring instructor, simulator, classroom, and schedule alignment.
โ€ข Coordinate long and short term training schedules in coordination with Crew Scheduling to support operational staffing, qualification cycles, and on time delivery.
โ€ข Monitor schedules and capacity against regulatory timelines and flag potential risks or constraints.
Training Logistics & Classroom Readiness
โ€ข Coordinate training room logistics and preparation to ensure all classroom environments are fully ready to support high quality facilitation.
โ€ข Partner with Training, IT, Facilities, and support teams to support classroom, technology, and material readiness prior to training delivery.
โ€ข Track setup needs, support issue resolution, and help ensure training events launch smoothly and on schedule.
Operational Partnership & Coordination
โ€ข Serve as a point of contact to Training leadership and the Manager, Ground Instructor, to support alignment between instructional resources and training needs.
โ€ข Communicate training requirements, capacity considerations, and schedule impacts to Training leadership.
โ€ข Support instructor readiness and instructional quality indirectly through data-driven capacity planning and forecast visibility.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
โ€ข Track key metrics related to training load, throughput, on-time completion, and schedule reliability.
โ€ข Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying bottlenecks and contributing data-driven insights, reporting, and recommendations.
