POSITION TYPE:  Hourly, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for fueling and towing aircraft and performing office procedures and light janitorial duties.
MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Guides incoming aircraft to designated parking locations and secures aircraft in that position.
  • Refuels aircraft arriving at and departing from the airport; checks and fills oil levels to the proper level; checks tire pressure; cleans windscreens.
  • Secures payment for fuel and services.
  • Secures aircraft overnight; puts planes into the proper hangars.
  • Moves aircraft in and around the FBO hangar or on the airfield for the Ozark Maintenance and Cape Avionics.
  • Answers the telephone; takes messages or directs incoming calls.
  • Refills aircraft fuel trucks.
  • Fills out training flight rental agreements.
  • Loads and off-loads cargo flights during and after hours.
  • Performs housekeeping duties; vacuums, empties trash, cleans and fills all dispensers in restrooms, cleans and fills the coffee maker.
  • Cleans out the hangar and washes aircraft.
  • Maintains availability for call-outs after normal business hours.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

  • Knowledge of aircraft.
  • Knowledge of fuels systems and the testing and delivery of fuel and oil to aircraft.
  • Knowledge of customer service techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical skills.
  • Skill in operating forklifts and fuel trucks.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six (6) months of related experience.
