Job description

We're looking for motivated, engaged people to help make everyone's journeys better.

Gate Gourmet is the world's largest independent provider of catering and provisioning services for the airline industry.

The Commissary Assembler is responsible for the final assembly of trolleys in the commissary department. Each group of trolleys is assembled according to the type and size of the flight for which they are being used. A Commissary Assembler may assembler up to 100 flights per shift working either as a team or individually.

The duties of the commissary Assembler include the following:

Checking flight bill - the worker reviews the flight bills to determine what items are required for each flight.

Assembling flights -commissary trolleys that have been rebuilt are brought over to the assembly area by the bar/boutique builders. The assembler stages the trolleys according to flight number. Headsets, hampers, and satchels are added, as requested, to the trolleys to complete the flight. Fully assembled flights are pushed into the cold room to await pickup. The worker marks the flight complete on a board in the cold room.

must have excellent attention to detail
must be able to multi-task
may be required to maintain a customs seal at certain locations
must be able to interact with customers in a professional manner

Our Employees Must Be Able to:
work 8 hours shifts that will include all shifts (mornings, afternoons or nights) weekdays, weekends and holidays
work overtime when required
pass a criminal background check

Environmental Requirements:
Will be exposed to temperature changes and noise
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty pounds(50) pounds

Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
