Job Details: In office Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 4:15 p.m.

Hourly Rate: Ranges from $23 to $35 per hour, commensurate with experience

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models to determine the best machining methods.
  • Operating manual and automated machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders).
  • Aligning and securing workpieces in the machine, and zeroing out the tools to ensure pinpoint accuracy.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines.
  • compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, minimizing machine downtime and increasing overall production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with prototypes to resolve fabrication issues and suggest design or process improvements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills required (team player).
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and interpret measurement data.
  • Mechanical aptitude, hands- on understanding of how machinery operates.
  • Blueprint ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and/or operation a plus

    Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience.
  • A formal 4-year apprenticeship programs are welcome.
