Position: Securities Lending Front Office Developer

Location: New York City 2-3 days/week
Type: Contract

Description:

Key skills: Java, Securities Lending, Lending Platform experience (like FIS (Loanet/Loanex) or Global One), BTCC, some sort of AI platform like DL4J is a plus, Murex is also a plus

Really need more of a front office type of person (i.e., working with traders)

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience in Java in Securities Lending development space.
  • In-depth knowledge of Securities Lending platforms experience (like FIS (Loanet/Loanex) or Global One)
  • Experience with mission-critical trading platforms (Order/Stock Loan/Market Data Systems)
  • BTCC experience
  • Direct collaboration with trading desks, quants, and risk teams
  • Expertise in DevSecOps methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonaType, SonarQube, Tenable, Invicti and Zero Networks
  • Experience in development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks
  • Solid understanding of back-end and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years of Java development experience, ideally in capital markets/financial services
  • Experience with frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake)
  • Proficiency with Git and Agile development
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills

Good to Have

  • Experience with AI/ML
  • Experience and familiarity with Log observability tools such as Elastic Search/Kibana/Splunk stack.
  • Familiarity with pricing models, quantitative analysis, and P&L calculations.
  • Experience with leading industry platforms, including Quod, FlexTrade, Charles River Trader, Nuvoprime, and Murex.
  • Experience with cloud (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of regulatory/risk/compliance and audit controls in Securities Lending space is plus.
