Job Description:
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for leading initiatives to increase productivity, performance, and profitability across the product manufacturing lifecycle. Key activities will include analyzing data and applying statistical methods to optimize production processes, modeling manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, and evaluating manufacturing KPI's to drive change. This position will also be responsible for preparing and delivering analytical and business results to management of operations, manufacturing, and engineering functions. This position will coordinate closely with Manufacturing Personnel, Engineering, Production Planning and Scheduling, Finance and other disciplines, as required. The Industrial Engineer may be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area; also may manage projects at this level with responsibility for the review of others' work products.
Essential Functions:
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and advanced industrial engineering principles.
- Develop complex capacity assessments and conduct simulation process modeling for manufacturing planning and execution.
- Establish, measure, and evaluate manufacturing metrics for key manufacturing processes and products
- Create and maintain production metrics and dashboards to track KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
- Support root cause analysis investigations using data analysis and implement corrective actions for quality and process issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality, etc.) to resolve technical challenges and improve manufacturing capabilities.
- Effectively communicate and present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Mentor and train production teams on lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficiency with statistical software such as Minitab or JMP
- Proficiency with FlexSim simulation software
- Proficiency with AI analysis tools such as Prodex Labs or Claude for Excel
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
