Job description

At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in San Francisco, CA! If you're committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and helping them achieve academic success, we want to hear from you!

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Special Education tutor to provide individualized general academic support to a 4th-grade student. The tutor will work in a one-on-one setting and support learning through structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate instruction.

Details:

  • Weekend schedule flexibility available
  • 1.5 hours-2 hours once a week
  • Start ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person academic support in Geometry, English, and World History
  • Adapt lessons to meet the student's learning needs and IEP accommodations
  • Simplify complex topics and reinforce foundational skills
  • Support student focus, comprehension, and study habits
  • Communicate progress and challenges as needed

Qualifications:

  • Background or experience in Special Education (required)
  • Strong knowledge of high school Geometry, English, and World History
  • Experience working with students who have IEPs
  • Patient, reliable, and able to commit long-term
  • Willingness to travel to the student's location
  • Available for weekly 2-hour sessions
