Software Engineer (Java, Python, Angular)
We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.
Location: Charlotte, NC (Preferred)
Alternate Locations: Irving, TX (Dallas) or Des Moines, IA
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 24-Month Contract with Strong Contract-to-Hire Potential
About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team focused on building scalable, modern applications and services. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise software solutions while collaborating closely with product owners, architects, and fellow engineers.
The ideal candidate has strong full-stack development experience with Java, Python, and Angular, enjoys working in Agile environments, and is passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs.
  • Build and enhance backend services using Java, Python, and Spring Boot.
  • Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular and related web technologies.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and deliver business value.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while improving system reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent experience gained through work, military service, education, or technical training.
  • Experience developing applications with:
    • Java
    • Python
    • Spring Boot
  • Experience building modern web applications using Angular or React.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Experience working with databases such as MongoDB or similar NoSQL/relational database technologies.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Understanding of software development best practices, including testing, debugging, and code quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Microsoft Azure, or OpenShift.
  • Experience with containerized applications and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks including Selenium, Playwright, or API automation tools.
