Job description

Job Summary:
CAE is a leader in defense and security, as well as civil aviation, providing innovative training solutions. They are seeking a Software Engineer to develop and deploy advanced cloud-based software products for internal and Department of Defense projects, working in a fully on-site capacity in Orlando or Tampa, Florida.
Responsibilities:
• Support the development, deployment, and sustainment of technology demonstrators
• Present and conduct technology demonstrations to leadership and potential customers
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test
• Perform as part of an Agile (SAFe) team (scrums, planning, retrospectives)
• May include travel
Qualifications:
Required:
• Knowledge and experience in 2 or more of the following categories: Frontend development (Angular, React, Vue, Typescript, etc.)
• Experience with real time streaming applications
• Experience with GIS
• Experience with WFS/WMS layers
• Experience with Cesium
• Experience with Geoserver
• Backend development (C#, .NET, C++, Python, Node, etc.)
• Data storage and messaging (PostgreSQL, Neo4J, RabbitMq, Kafka, WebSockets, etc.)
• DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, OpenShift, Jenkins, Terraform, GitLab Runner, etc.)
• Cloud Systems (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, software, or computer science.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
