Job description

As a Technical Developer Connections Manager on the Developer Connections team, you'll play a critical role in supporting and scaling Roblox's creator ecosystem. You'll act as a trusted technical partner to high-impact creators across strategic genres (RPG, FPS, Sports), supporting their growth, technical execution, and long-term success on the platform. You'll support priority escalations and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams during platform incidents, while also designing internal tools and automation to improve operational efficiency and support quality.

With deep expertise in Roblox Studio, performance optimization, and live-operations troubleshooting, you'll help creators build stable, high-performing experiences while strengthening long-term relationships across the platform.

You will:
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for creators, providing hands-on support, guidance, and best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance, stability, and scalability issues in live games and experiences.
  • Own and manage high-priority creator escalations, including participation in an on-call rotation covering weekends and holidays (with flexible scheduling and compensatory time off).
Partner with product and engineering teams to coordinate real-time responses to platform incidents and creator-impacting issues.
  • Act as a communication bridge between creators and internal teams, ensuring clarity, transparency, and timely updates.
  • Build internal tools and workflow automations (e.g., using Python) to improve response times, data visibility, and team efficiency.
You have:
  • 5+ years of experience in game development or interactive experience development.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience building on Roblox and/or comparable creator platforms.
  • Deep understanding of the Roblox platform, Roblox Studio, and the creator ecosystem.
  • Strong expertise in performance optimization, debugging, and profiling for live games or experiences.
  • Proficiency in Lua, including scripting for tooling, automation, or diagnostics; familiarity with Python, C#, and .NET is a plus.
  • Experience with Roblox Studio workflows, tools, and production pipelines.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • A creator-first mindset, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach, with strong ownership over work and personal workflow management.
