Agile Software Project Manager- It/Ot Support

Job Description

Duties:

  • Lead and manage agile and waterfall software development from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Implement and maintain agile methodologies, ensuring teams adhere to best practices.
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions.
  • Monitor and report project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with product owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog.
  • Coordinate release planning and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove impediments to keep the team productive.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in agile practices.
  • Communicate effectively between technical and non-technical people.
Qualifications

Required qualifications:

Experience/Skills:

  • Proven experience as an agile project manager in a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies {scrum, kanban, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software development lifecycle.
  • Relevant certifications such as certified scrummaster (csm) or pmi agile certified practitioner (pmi-acp) is a plus.

Communication: Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Strong teamwork skills are required as well.

Preferred experience:

  • Success in leveraging both traditional practices (waterfall), as well as emerging methods (e.g., agile, devops, devsecops, etc.) that are optimized for agility.
  • Experience managing and integrating it/ot products for large-scale complex project.
  • Experience implementing laas, paas, saas solutions that include software/hardware components or sensors.
  • Working knowledge of data and information security in such as dod, doe or nnsa environment a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 6 years experience in agile software methodologies and high school diploma if no college degree.

Work hours

A work week will be 40 hours based on assigned schedule, typically 4-10s. Work week excludes srs holidays. Each work day includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Some level of telework may be allowed.

Area security access

A security clearance is not required.
