First American is looking to add a Commercial Escrow Officer to our growing National Commercial team. In this role you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting supporting the team in a variety of ways including directly handling the escrow and settlement components for commercial transactions ranging from single site to high-liability multi-site, be responsible for establishing new commercial escrow accounts, processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures as well as helping fund transactions. This position plays a key role in transforming the commercial real estate experience by empowering our employees and customers to deliver next-generation solutions and results.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and track completion of title commitments for commercial transactions depending on the locality and corporate standards.
  • Properly price commitments, endorsements, policies and guarantees using appropriate schedule of fees and charges
  • Work cross-functionally with Underwriting to review and approve a variety of documentation including deeds, operating agreements, and corporate resolutions
  • Responsible for ensuring that all funds are properly accounted for and disbursedin accordance withthe terms of the contract
  • Complete closing byreviewing,recording,and filing documentsincludingpreparing and distributing final closing statements and title, ensuring adherence to delivery dates and timelines.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction
  • Prepare legal documents for the closure of the saleor refinance
  • Complywithregulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements

  • Flexible with the ability to multi-task and handle all aspects of title support
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of commercial title and escrow related experience
Pay Range: $30.91 - $41.20 Hourly, RemoteThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
