Job description

Pipe Welder - Pascagoula, MS - up to $52hr & $180 day per diem

Join an elite team responsible for welding the critical piping systems that power America's most advanced naval vessels. We're actively hiring experienced Pipe Welders for long-term shipbuilding projects in Pascagoula, Mississippi. This is an opportunity to put your skills to work on complex marine systems while earning industry-leading pay, attendance incentives, and per diem for qualified travelers.

As a Pipe Welder, your precision and expertise will help construct and maintain the piping networks that support steam, ventilation, hydraulic, fuel, and chemical systems throughout the vessel. This role demands craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

What You'll Do
  • Perform high-precision pipe welding on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG).
  • Weld using additional processes including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW).
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, weld symbols, and welding procedures.
  • Ensure weld quality meets applicable shipbuilding and marine standards.
  • Perform fit-up verification and prepare joints for welding.
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, penetration, and workmanship.
  • Support ship construction in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions as required.
  • Follow all shipyard safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with pipefitters, supervisors, inspectors, and other trades to meet production schedules.
What You Bring
  • Proven, hands-on pipe welding experience with GTAW/TIG as a primary process.
  • Ability to weld Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel to exact specifications.
  • Experience with SMAW and FCAW welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a shipyard environment.
  • Dependable work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience with a focus on TIG/GTAW.
  • Proven experience welding Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel.
  • Ability to pass applicable welding tests and background screening.
  • Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as production demands require.
  • Reliable transportation.
Pay & Benefits

$28.00 - $52.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

$250 Weekly Attendance Bonus available for eligible employees/locations

$180 Per Day Per Diem available for qualified candidates.
