As a Software Engineer Senior (IBM) within PNC's Treasury Solutions organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
The Software Engineer Senior (IBM) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable software solutions. This role plays a critical part in technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver business value.
Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#,
Python, JavaScript, Go).
• Experience building and maintaining scalable, production-grade
applications.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience leading technical projects or initiatives.
• Relevant certifications (cloud, security, or platform-specific).

  • Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.
