Job description

Position Title: Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis - Loyalty & Revenue
Position Summary
The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis - Loyalty & Revenue will serve as a commercial finance partner to JetBlue's Loyalty and Revenue Management teams. This role will connect analytical insights, business strategy, and financial outcomes by translating complex revenue, loyalty, customer, and cost analyses into actionable forecasts, variance explanations, investment recommendations, and leadership materials. The manager is responsible for overseeing staff that support financial modeling and delivering key processes, including developing presentations for senior management and the Executive Leadership Team. The manager also assists with other ad hoc analysis as requested.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support to leaders through proper financial analysis, collaboration and good thinking
  • Analyze drivers of Loyalty and Revenue Management performance, including revenue trends, redemption activity, customer behavior, partner economics, forecast assumptions, and investment returns
  • Synthesize analytical outputs from Loyalty, Revenue, and other Commercial teams; assess business implications, pressure-test assumptions, and translate findings into financial forecasts, business cases, and executive-ready narratives
  • Own recurring FP&A processes for supported Commercial areas, including monthly close support, variance analysis, forecast updates, budget planning, OpEx tracking, CapEx tracking, and performance reporting
  • Promote communication and collaboration within Commercial teams and other workgroups, (e.g., Accounting and IT)
  • Perform ad hoc analysis requested by senior management
  • Take a significant role in the development of Crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, goal achievement and development
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Accounting, a quantitative field, or another related area; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in Finance, Commercial, Revenue Management, Loyalty, Analytics, Consulting, or a related quantitative role
  • Two (2) years of experience writing complex SQL queries (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Experience performing financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, or business-case development
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to evaluate large datasets, identify key business drivers, pressure-test assumptions, and communicate implications clearly.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau, Python, Snowflake, or similar analytical tools
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders
  • Ability to interact daily with people at different levels within the organization, including developing and maintaining ongoing relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage recurring processes while also supporting strategic analysis
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Accounting, or a quantitative field
  • Advanced SQL, Python, Tableau, or data visualization experience
  • Experience supporting Loyalty, Revenue Management, Commercial, airline, travel, subscription, marketplace, or customer economics functions
  • Providing high-quality customer service in a matrix structure with a commitment to meeting or exceeding expectations

Crewmember Expectations:
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:
  • The base pay range for this position is between $114,000.00 and $170,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more
