Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Senior Director of Project Procurement and Quality, the Project Procurement Manager will have the primary responsibilities as outlined below:

  • This person will be primarily working in the pulp division of Andritz and may support other divisions if needed.
  • Person will be responsible for the overall procurement lifecycle of the project(s) assigned.
  • Define and execute the Project Procurement Plan with input from the Project team, Sales, Engineering and Quality.
  • Conduct RFP's (Request for Proposals) for all components of the Procurement Plan.
  • Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers. Proactively seek alternate sources of supply, as required.
  • Prepare offer evaluation summaries and make vendor recommendations.
  • Lead the Negotiation of commercial contracts/POs and seek support from legal as needed.
  • Work closely with buyers as needed to issue purchase orders and any revisions.
  • Work closely with Project Manager to make sure all procurement activities are being completed on time and as per the budgets.
  • Manage supplier contracts upon award in collaboration with project team.
  • Hold regular follow up and schedule analysis of vendor schedules for critical long cycles scopes.
  • Follow procurement procedures and policy as well as spend approval policy.
  • Work closely with accounts payables to reconcile invoices and provide supporting documentation.
  • Negotiate supplier claims (passive and active) if needed.
  • Coordinate with Logistics team as required for the transport (freight) of all shipments to site/customer.
  • Reporting as required by department or senior management
  • Utilization of various software's, tools that are available for project procurement.
  • Collaborate with leadership, business leads to support in developing supplier category strategies
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: What we look for:

  • 5 plus years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in projects.
  • Prior experience working in Pulp & Paper, or any Process Industries is a plus.
  • Experience with commercial contracts and related terms & conditions
  • Fundamental understanding of metals products (plate, tube, pipe etc.)
  • Experience with purchase of fabricated materials, Machined parts etc.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with deadlines
  • Employs fair, ethical, and transparent procurement practices
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%- 25% domestically and internationally.
  • Project Manager or Sales Manager with industry experience who wish to transition into procurement role are welcome to apply.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or any related field), Supply Chain, Business

Administration or Management. Masters preferred, but not required
