Job Summary

The Field Learning and Development Specialist develops, designs, and delivers targeted training programs tailored for specific positions. This role ensures team members have the tools and knowledge necessary to meet performance expectations and provide safe, effective patient care. The Field Learning and Development Specialist collaborates closely with field leaders to create and refine training materials, instructional content, and manuals, while promoting key business initiatives through engaging and effective learning experiences.

Essential Job Functions:

Time is divided across design, facilitation, and administrative work, with the exact balance shifting day to day and week to week depending on project bandwidth and business needs.

Design & Development

• Develop and/or improve content using a variety of modalities, including video, simulation, in-person learning, live virtual learning, and web-based. Uses tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office/PowerPoint.

• Design and deliver training for all team members, ensuring content is role-specific and aligned with organizational goals.

• Maintain the accuracy and consistency of training materials by seeking prior approval for changes or new content from SME, ELT, and Legal.

Facilitation

• Facilitate specialized VILT sessions such as DOT BAT, Urine Collection, DOT guidelines, EPS, Spirometry, POC testing, OSHA compliance, QA protocols, and other management-requested topics, delivered virtually to team members across all markets.

• Evaluate learner performance by monitoring behaviors and identifying issues such as poor attitude, skill gaps, attendance challenges, or training difficulties, and communicate findings to clinical field trainers, Multi-Site Managers, and Human Resources.

Administrative Support

• Assist with project management tasks, including building and updating detailed project plans.

• Assess current training and data to recommend new trainings, updates, development tools, and applications.

• Support department goals and priorities by tracking training records, reporting on program progress, and coordinating logistics for VILT sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

· 1-2 years experience in instructional design, learning and development (L&D), and training facilitation

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.

· Knowledge of adult learning theory and principles.

· Proficiency in developing, designing, and editing instructional materials.

· Proficiency in programs such as Articulate RISE 360, Storyline, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Vyond, Camtasia, Monday.com, and Smartsheet

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – i.e., multiple Outlook accounts, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, etc. and SharePoint

· Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks effectively

· Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, impactful educational content.

· Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in content and logistics.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
