Job description

The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of data-driven strategies that support business decision-making. This role oversees the design, development, and maintenance of reporting systems and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and relevance across departments. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs), streamline reporting processes, and drive insights that improve operational efficiency and strategic planning.
This is an onsite position, based in Springfield, MO.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead the BI team in delivering high-quality data analytics and reporting solutions
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data insights.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all reporting platforms.
  • Develop and maintain data models and queries to support reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with EDW to ensure data processes support reporting needed.
  • Monitor and optimize performance of BI tools and reporting systems.
  • Provide training and support to business users on BI tools and data interpretation.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and analytics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and data governance
  • Additional duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting.
  • Proven experience managing BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Strong SQL, DAX & Python skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus.
