The Role

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Transportation, Logistics, Business, Nautical Science, or related field who is confident in an international setting and takes pride in ensuring seamless operations from beginning to end. You should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and enjoy the ever-changing challenges driven by global events.


Your main responsibilities include

  • Overseeing and managing the daily operations of owned and time-chartered vessels.
  • Planning routes and schedules to optimize fuel efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Coordinating with ports, agents, and cargo handlers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handling all types of cargo documentation, including B/Ls and LOIs.
  • Addressing and resolving unforeseen challenges promptly and professionally.
  • Contributing to maintaining Pangaea’s best-in-class status.




Requirements:

Professional competencies required to succeed in this role

  • Minimum two years of operational experience in the shipping industry (preferably dry cargo).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
