Job description

Description

Must be a current Pureflight employee and be able to perform the duties of FAA Certified Flight Instructor/FAA Certified Flight Instrument Instructor. Provide flight and ground instruction for KCC students registered in either Airplane Private Pilot or Helicopter Private Pilot and Multi Engine Instructor ratings, per the Adjunct Instructor FAA qualifications.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the position description satisfactorily.   • Provide flight and ground instruction per the published TCO (Training Course Outline).
  • Keep clear and concise records per FAA and KCC regulations and policies.
  • Follow and enforce all KCC and Pureflight policies and procedures.
  • Follow and enforce all FAA policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong communication with the KCC Aviation Program Director.
  • Adhere to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.

Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Working in and around aircraft. Maintaining digital records in an office setting

Qualifications

Required Documents

  • Driver's License (back and front).
  • Passport or Birth Certificate.
  • FAA Licenses (front and back).
  • Medical: minimum current class 2.
  • Resume

Education & Experience

  • For Flight/Ground Instruction: Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor and/or Certified Instrument Flight Instructor for Rotorcraft and/or Fixed-wing.
  • For Ground Instruction only: Current FAA Advanced Ground Instructor Certificate.
  • Class 2 Medical.
  • Recency of Flight Experience/knowledge will be reviewed.
  • This position is contingent upon the availability of funding from external grants. In the event that grant funding is reduced, eliminated, or not renewed, the position may be subject to modification or termination.
