Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows & Linux System Administrator to support a company focused on secure Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environments and mission-critical network operations supporting NIWC Pacific . This position is on-site in San Diego, CA . The Windows & Linux System Administrator will maintain and secure Windows and Linux infrastructure, support systems engineering initiatives, and implement automation solutions across secure environments. Join a team that plays a critical role in strengthening and modernizing systems that support national defense missions. Responsibilities for the Windows & Linux System Administrator include: * Administer and maintain Windows 11 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across secure environments * Develop, maintain, and execute PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate system administration tasks * Support infrastructure engineering efforts, including technical design reviews and implementation of new capabilities * Ensure compliance with DISA security requirements through STIG implementation, patch management, and system hardening * Utilize Ansible playbooks for automation and assist with asset management, SOP development, procurement activities, and equipment logistics Required Qualifications for the Windows & Linux System Administrator include: * 3+ years of experience administering Windows systems * 3+ years of experience administering RHEL systems * Experience developing and utilizing PowerShell and Bash scripting * Experience with the IAVM process, including STIG implementation and patch management * Experience with Ansible automation and endpoint security preferred * Active Secret Security Clearance * IAT Level II Certification, such as Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP Compensation for the Windows & Linux System Administrator include: Salary Range: Depending on experience Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law #LI-JB1 Keywords: Windows System Administrator, Linux Administrator, RHEL, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows 11, PowerShell, Bash Scripting, Ansible, System Administration, DISA STIG, STIG Compliance, IAVM, Patch Management, Endpoint Security, Infrastructure Engineering, Network Security, Secret Clearance, Security+, GSEC, SSCP, SCNP, NIWC Pacific, DoD, RDT&E, Automation Engineer, Systems Engineer, San Diego Jobs, Onsite IT Jobs, Defense Contractor Jobs
