Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Experience caring for high-risk obstetric and maternal patients
  • Immediate newborn care experience in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Current RN license or credential
  • BLS and ACLS/ALS certification
  • NRP certification
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
  • Preferred: circulating experience in Labor & Delivery or OB nursing
  • Outgoing, friendly, adaptable, and patient-centered approach to nursing care
Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, skilled maternal and newborn nursing care for laboring patients
  • Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&Cs, cerclage procedures, and C-hyst cases
  • Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring systems
  • Deliver immediate newborn assessment, stabilization, and support as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the charge nurse, PCT, CST, and RN team members
  • Maintain safe, efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment
  • Float to approved related areas as needed based on unit needs
