This is a hands-on Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager role supporting heavy civil and utility projects, starting on a major data center build in Lusby, MD. You'll split time between field and office, working closely with a PM and Superintendent while gaining exposure to all phases of project delivery. Client Details This is a well-established, growth-focused infrastructure contractor with over a century of industry experience and strong financial backing. Description The Senior Project Engineer/Junior Project Manager will be responsible for: Supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day project execution Preparing and managing submittals, RFIs, and project documentation Performing quantity take-offs and tracking project progress and costs Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and site activities Assisting with procurement and buyouts Maintaining a consistent presence on-site while contributing to office-based tasks Helping drive project schedules, quality, and safety compliance Profile A successful Senior Project Engineer/Junior Project Manager should have: 3+ years' experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Assistant PM Ability to operate independently and mentor more junior engineers Experience in heavy civil, utilities (wet/dry), or related infrastructure projects preferred Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills Comfortable working both in the field and in an office setting Willingness to travel to project sites within 1 hour of Beltsville, MD Job Offer The Senior Project Engineer/Junior Project Manager will receive: Join a growing Maryland office with strong pipeline and stability Backed by a multi-billion-dollar parent company with resources and opportunity Exposure to complex heavy civil and utility projects early in your career Profit sharing, stock incentives, and consistent bonus payouts Flexible career progression into Project Management or Field Leadership If you're ready to take the next step in your career within the construction industry, apply now for the Senior Project Engineer/Junior PM role!
