  • Developย printableย propellantย formulationsย (AP/HTPB,ย GAP,ย orย alternativeย binders)ย 
  • Engineerย rheologyย forย extrusion,ย DIWย (Directย Inkย Writing),ย orย hybridย AMย processesย 
  • Formulateย metalizedย systemsย (Al,ย boron)ย compatibleย withย printingย 
  • Optimizeย viscosity,ย cureย kinetics,ย andย greenย strengthย 
  • Defineย safeย handling,ย mixing,ย andย printingย protocolsย forย energeticmaterialsย 
  • Conductย small-batchย mixing,ย casting,ย andย printedย sampleย evaluationย 
  • Performย burnย rateย characterization,ย strandย burnerย testing,ย andmechanicalย testingย

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • B.S./M.S./PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials, or Energetics
  • 5-12+ย years experienceย in solid rocket propellants or energetic materials
  • Deepย expertiseย in binder systems (HTPB, GAP, polybutadienes, or novel polymers)
  • Experience with rheology, cure chemistry, and polymer formulation
  • Hands-on experience with mixing, casting, and energetic lab work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additive manufacturing of viscous materials (inks,slurries, pastes)
  • Experience with nano/micro metal particles (Al, boron)
  • Familiarity with printable energetic composites or DIW processes
  • Background in energetic safety (ATF, OSHA, DoD standards)
