Job description

Job Description:

Hamaspik of Kings County Inc. is currently seeking per diem NYS Licensed Physical Therapists to provide therapeutic home and center-based services for our Early Intervention program serving all 5 NYC boroughs. We currently have a high demand in the Bronx, particularly in the following zip codes: 10456, 10453, 10451.

At Hamaspik we value the importance of a team centered, multi-disciplinary therapeutic approach.

*Compensation starting at $60 per 30-minute session.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working 1:1 with children diagnosed with developmental delays

  • Creating family centered treatment goals to facilitate carryover and maximum progress.

  • Monitoring & assessing intervention effectiveness utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach.

  • Maintaining appropriate documentation of therapy sessions and caregiver communication.

  • Educating families and caregivers about the therapeutic process.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with children who have disabilities, in the Early Intervention

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Desire to improve the quality of life of children with special needs.

  • Bilingual a plus (Yiddish and Spanish)

  • DOH fingerprinting clearance
